These pages written by Cathleen V. Sanders and until her retirement in 2006, were available through the Punahou School website in Hawaii. It is the Math Forum's pleasure to host these pages so that the mathematical community can continue to enjoy all of the information presented by Cathi.

Connecting Geometry
Connecting Geometry will help you discover geometry and its many connections with the world, in science, art, navigation and architecture, through these web pages and the vast resources of the internet.

Creative Geometry
Creative Geometry is a set of web pages designed by a geometry teacher and written for both geometry teachers and geometry students. In these web pages, teachers and students will find creative and interesting "hands-on" projects for most topics in the geometry curriculum. Each project is designed to help students understand, remember, and find value in the concepts of geometry.

The Geometry Pages
The Geometry Pages are designed to intrigue and inspire you to learn more about geometry and its many applications in art, engineering, science, and much more!

I-MATH
I-MATH is set of web pages created for mathematics teachers and students. The purpose of these web pages is to assist mathematics teachers and students in learning and enjoying mathematics. Hands-on investigations in mathematics, and exploration of the vast resources of the Internet can create opportunities for students to collaborate, and to communicate their discoveries; to become sources of mathematical information as well as recipients. The "I" in I-MATH stands for Imagination, Investigation, Interaction and Illumination, all of which are essential aspects of teaching and learning.

Journey to the Center of a Triangle
What is the center of a triangle? This question might be more complicated than you first think it is! My high school geometry students in Honolulu explore this question during a three-day project in which we explore this question using interactive geometry software. The students work in small, collaborative groups exploring triangles and various ideas they have for what might be the answer to this question. These web pages include some questions and possible solutions that my students discovered, some hints, the answers, and some fascinating applications of the center of a triangle.

MathArt Connections
MathArt Connections is a class designed to introduce students to many interesting connections between mathematics, art, architecture and design. In this class, students will read the MathArt Connections web pages as a guide to learning the principles that connect mathematics and a variety of art forms. Additionally, students will research these connections via the internet, communicate their ideas and insights to the instructor and classmates via email and face-to-face meetings, use technology to create projects that combine mathematical and artistic principles, and keep an electronic portfolio of their activities.
